Therapy management application for haemophilia patients successfully passes recertification according to EuroPriSe
Germany based StatConsult Gesellschaft für klinische und Versorgungsforschung mbH is awarded with the European Privacy Seal for its IT-based service Haemoassist® 2 once again.
Haemoassist® 2 is a smart-phone based therapy management application for haemophilia patients and their physicians. It consists of an electronic patient diary (application) in interaction with a web based monitoring-interface for the attending physicians. Patients may not only use Haemoassist via the smartphone app, but also via a dedicated web interface.
The service uses only pseudonymised data: Instead of the patient´s name, a specific ID is stored in the database of the service. The correlation of the patient´s name to this ID is only known to the patient and his/her physician.
The re-evaluation was performed by EuroPriSe Legal Expert Jörg Joachim Schlißke and by EuroPriSe Technical Expert Tobias Mielke. It took place on the basis of the latest EuroPriSe Criteria Catalogue for IT-products and IT-based Services (v201701). The evaluators concluded that Haemoassist continues to meet all applicable EuroPriSe requirements (including the new requirements introduced by the current version of the Criteria Catalogue). All changes that had been made to the service since the previous recertification in 08/2016 were taken into account during the re-evaluation.
