The BKMS® System is a whistleblowing system, technically designed as a web based service that is offered by Business Keeper AG to their customers. Whistleblowers (e.g., employees of a customer) may reveal their identity or act anonymously or pseudonymously when reporting a grievance (e.g., criminal activities such as fraud or embezzlement). The BKMS® System facilitates a dialogue between whistleblowers and examiners. Whistleblowers are enabled to set up a post box in order to exchange messages with examiners.

Business Keeper AG was initially awarded the European Privacy Seal in 2013 and successfully renewed it for the first time in 2015.

The 2017 reevaluation was conducted by EuroPriSe Technical Expert Alexey Testsov and EuroPriSe Legal Expert Dr. Irene Karper. It showed that the BKMS® System continues to meet all applicable EuroPriSe requirements. It is worth noting that BKMS® System does even comply with EuroPriSe‘s “GDPR ready” requirements already and that Business Keeper AG underwent a combined recertification procedure, which resulted in the award of two seals, the EuroPriSe seal and the Datenschutz-Gütesiegel granted by ULD, the data protection authority of Schleswig-Holstein.
