IT Security / Technical Data Protection Specialist (m/f/d)

For the certification body at our location in Bonn, EuroPriSe Cert GmbH is looking for a Data Protection Certification Specialist (Technical) with considerable experience in the field of IT security and technical data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of technical evaluations in the context of certification procedures;
  • Listing of the results of technical evaluations in so-called evaluation reports;
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with legal data protection experts in the context of evaluations.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Review of applications for certification from a technical perspective;
  • Contribution to the development of new / the enhancement of existing certification schemes;
  • Conduct training sessions on key (technical) aspects of certification schemes or related topics.

Requirements / Your Profile: 

  • Successful graduation at an (EU) state or state-recognized university, which is led by subjects such as computer science, technics, mathematics or involves IT-auditing or obtainment of a recognized protected title (e.g.,
    Dipl. Ing.);
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
  • Depending on the degree obtained, at least 4 resp. 5 years of professionaL experience in IT security and technical data protection (e.g., at least 4 years in case of a Master’s and 5 years in case of a Bachelor’s Degree);
  • Knowledge / professional experience in the field of examination (e.g., auditing and/or certification according to ISO/IEC 27001);
  • Knowledge / professional experience in technical and organizational data protection (e.g., applied cryptography, authorization concepts, risk-based approach according to GDPR, pseudonymization / anonymization or data protection by design and by default);
  • At least very good, preferably fluent command of the English language in speech and writing (including relevant specialist terms);
  • Independent and structured working routine as well as an obliging manner;
  • Readiness to travel.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the following international standards on management systems: ISO/IEC 27017, 27018 and 27701 as well as German BSI ITGrundschutz;
  • Knowledge of the following conformity assessment standards: ISO/IEC 17000, 17020, 17021, 17025 and 17065;
  • Knowledge of the EuroPriSe certification scheme (evaluation techniques, normative documents, processes);
  • Note-taking and report-writing skills, presentation skills, interviewing skills as well as project management skills;
  • At least very good, preferably fluent command of the German language in speech and writing (including relevant specialist terms);
  • Knowledge in any additional foreign language.

The EuroPriSe criteria catalogue for processors was approved by the competent supervisory authority, the LDI NRW, as the first criteria document by a private company in the EU.
